PSP Impressor

The PSP Impressor is an incredibly precise, full-featured, and highly accurate compressor designed to process entire mixes, busses, or individual tracks. The PSP Impressor emulates the classic magic characteristics of compressors with tubes and optoelectronic circuits, as well as classic modern compressors. The PSP Impressor also features a highly configurable sidechain. The sidechain filter has a significant impact on the sound and operation of the PSP Impressor. Depending on the sidechain filter setting, the filter also allows you to use the compressor as a deactivator or to reduce the pumping effects of heavy drums and the like.

CHARACTERISTICS:

• A wide range of soft knee features
• Peak or RMS level detection
• External or internal sidechain signal with a soft bell-type filter
• An output algorithm that can function as a brick wall limiter or a soft saturation algorithm to preserve peaks above 0dBFS.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

• To run PSP Impressor in 30-day trial mode or activate it, you do not need any hardware dongle, but you do need an iLok User ID which you can create for free at www.ilok.com, and you need to install the free iLok License Manager application.
• You can activate your license in three separate locations, each of which can be a computer or an iLok dongle (second generation or higher). You can transfer these licenses at any time using PACE's iLok License Manager software.
