KLARK TEKNIK 4-channel gate

The Klark Teknik DN514 Plus is a four-channel gate that provides frequency-aware gating along with sidechain key signal triggering. The Quad Auto Gate is designed to allow studio or engineers to quickly and easily significantly improve the quality of sound sources by eliminating unwanted background noise or tape hiss.
To simplify operation, two semi-automatic attack modes can be selected, one dedicated to percussion, this eliminates the need for a rotary attack control, the hold time is adjusted by the setting of the release time control, giving reliable gate closure without the chatter that often requires lengthy adjustment.
The frequency-aware gate allows the engineer to place microphones close together without each microphone triggering its gate from the other source. A sync function allows the release times of the four gates to be interlocked to synchronize harmony vocals, or a brass or string section. Key inputs allow the gate to be triggered by sources other than the signal passing through the gate.
