AKG C214 Professional Condenser Microphone

The C214 professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone was designed as a cost-effective alternative to the high-end C414 family. Like the C414, the C214 offers a superior one-inch capsule on an integrated shockmount to reduce mechanical noise. A switchable 20dB attenuation pad enables recording of loud sources up to 156dB SPL. A switchable low-cut filter enables close-up recording with virtually no proximity effect. The C214 captures sound by combining a capsule from the legendary C414 dual-capsule system with AKG’s proprietary backplate technology, resulting in outstanding performance close to the renowned C414 XLII.
