The Saturn Evolution Hybrid’s maple-walnut hybrid shell has been equipped with Design Lab features and the SoniClear Damping System to deliver a fuller, rounder tone with a bright, versatile, and open sound. The combination of a Maple and Walnut kick drum and Birch and Walnut toms is our bold interpretation of today’s modern drum sound. The birch toms deliver clear, punchy sounds in the high register, while the maple kick drum produces a warm, round tone in the low end. The result is a redefined sonic identity that speaks to today’s music scene. The plies become progressively thicker, the depths graduate in 1/2″ increments, and the bearing edges change as the drums increase in diameter. The combination of all these details creates a stunning symphony in a single kit, where each and every drum sounds perfect. The revolutionary new Halo mount featured on all Saturn Evolution toms allows for full resonance. This revolutionary new isolation mount, which utilizes a unique lateral suspension system below the rim line, allows the shell the freedom to deliver an open, pure tone. This is achieved with minimal rigidity typically associated with under-rim mounting systems.
