The Masters Maple Complete's premium maple shell is the tonal center of any playing situation. It's designed to deliver the ultimate combination of warm, focused midrange tones and a powerful, rounded punch.
Using the world's first high-temperature hydraulic curing system, Pearl's SST method was developed to manufacture a multi-layer bonded drum shell with the resonance and strength of a single layer.
This patented technique begins with premium hardwoods hand-selected for their unique acoustic attributes.
Each layer is milled to the precise thickness and bonded into 2-layer panels.
Our trademark overlapping scarf joint seams are added to ensure a perfect airtight fit. The wood layers are saturated with Pearl's exclusive "AcoustiGlue," which permeates every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimal resonance.
Finally, the layers are formed in high-temperature molds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure, producing the ultimate air chamber for optimal resonance, extreme strength, and superior tone.
All shells are tested for flatness and roundness before drilling and assembly to ensure superior fit and tuning on the head.
