The Armory Series is the latest embodiment of the Mapex hybrid shell concept. A fusion of birch and maple delivers ultimate tonal expression, and the SONIClear™ Bearing Edge allows the head to sit flat, delivering the ultimate response by optimizing the relationship between the head and shell. The 6-ply 7.2mm birch/maple/birch shell with the new SONIClear™ Bearing Edge enables direct sound transmission, reduces unwanted frequencies, and provides a strong fundamental tone and an effortless tuning experience, especially in lower tunings. This 5-piece Shell Pack includes 10" and 12" stand-mounted rack toms, a 16" floor tom, a 14" snare, and a 22"x18" bass drum. The SONIClear™ tom suspension and floor tom feet increase overall resonance by preserving vibration in the shell and keeping tension away from the tension rods, helping the heads stay in tune.
